Write, breathe, write
As an investigative storyteller there is always another story to tell. In some cultures they sat around campfires and passed down their history. In others, they gathered around a bar, drinking and embellishing the crazy stories they liked to tell. Story tellers like to talk and many of them, to write. There is a need to preserve and share that is born within the storyteller. I started at a young age when I could get a nickel for telling a fun story that I made up. The better the story . . .the more money.I also performed at drunken house parties. I ‘fake’ tap danced on counter tops at the local Chinese food restaurant when I was four. By grade one I was walking around the carnivals where my dad worked carry a teddy bear showing the ‘suckers’ where to win one.I did a bit of theatre in high school but my performances were still more of the ‘at home’ variety. When I was fourteen I could bend over backwards and pick up a quarter with my teeth.Ii always had a story to sell. And at 77 I still do.
My books are still available-on amazon, etc but I prefer people to buy from me. I used to only get 80 cents or something from the Publisher. Now the Publisher who is still in business does not promote or sell my books online. If anyone buys them, I have no idea where the money goes. So back to old school where I have a huge box of unread books. At this time half price. ($10 to $15 shipping in Canada)
